So, I don't think I ever thought I would be writing an essay where my two main sources are Oscar Wilde and the Bible. Hum.... This should be fun.
I passed in my fist essay of the semester yesterday, and I feel quite confident in it. The things my prof discussed in class were pretty much identical to what I had put in my essay. He was even pulling out exact quotes that I had used in my essay. I was pumped. (See, we do our essay on a discussion topic for class, and we have to hand in the essay the day of the discussion question so that our opinions/analysis are not influenced by the discussion.) It was my first essay I have written for this prof, and my first essay in an upper level class, so I was a little anxious about it, but I think it was good. I was talking to some of my classmates yesterday about how this prof marks, and they said how he really takes notice to who is contributing to discussions, and who is doing their work and stuff, so I think I will do fairly well in the course. I've already gone to see him a couple times to get help- and he is really approachable and nice.
Also, I finished revising the opening argument for my groups debate on Tom Sawyer for next week, and I think it's going to be a good debate. I had a lot of fun working on it as well- I have an awesome group. (Well, my group includes the Jaybird, so how could it not be awesome?)
Ah... school. How I love thee...
