lets review my weekend... just for the fun of it. saturday i worked 9-4. got off work and picked up food at the market before heading home. made a delicious chicken stirfry. then started watching a movie ("Mistress of Spices" - quite enjoyable actually, good romance without being overdone and cliche.) then i had a glass of wine with my friend Gillian who i hadn't seen in quite a while, then finished watching the movie, then went to bed. sunday morning i got up and sarted working on my paper for my international studies course. ....oh my god. i spent way too much time working on this paper. i worked on it from like 9:30-10am straight through to 5pm, at which time i took a break and made supper. then i resumed working on the paper till 7:30pm when a friend came over to hang out for a bit.
monday, i went to work from 9-3, then ran to the market and grabbed food, then went to class till 7. got home from class and finished writing the international studies paper... from 7:30-11. now i just need to edit the paper. it's a summarized history of global migration. do you realize how difficult it is to summarize the history of global migration!!! like holy cow! it was supposed to be 3-4 pages... mine is 11. (the prof doesn't mind if you go over.) on the positive side of things, i learned a lot from writing it- i used the UN world economic and social survey from 2004 as a main resource, as well as a touch from the 2006 survey. plus i had my text book, and articles i found (one by a harvard economics prof), and i referenced the international organization for migration- piles of things. its filled with information.
this morning i got up at 8:15am (pretty impressive considering i didn't have to get up), and have been editing my paper all morning so far... i have to hand it in tonight. it's a fun day...
