I ended up working all weekend, besides the fact that Sunday was my day off. Someone called in sick, therefore I did what I always do and offered to come in. And we have a new guy who I have having a hard time getting used to. He just doesn't seem as motivated as he would like to think he is. And theres just been a few things that I have been a little frustrated or confused about. Like his inability to multi-task. I realize that I am really good at multitasking and other people arn't, but still... grr... I would appriciate it if people would answer the telephone. He said he doesn't answer the phone when he is with a customer... I respect that, only his customer was still on her way up to the cash therefore he would have time to answer the phone. Or he could have not stood in front of the phone so I could get at it. Or better yet, pulled the phone my way and said "Hayley, can you answer that, I'm with a customer." Plus, it's Christmas, chances are we're ALL with customers, so be a team player and help out. Plus, don't be so effen hypocritical because I saw earlier when you were on the phone while ringing in a customer. Anyway- that was just a mini digression. I admit that sometimes little things tick me off, but I do not tolorate people who arn't team players. I have learned the importance of helping your co-workers out and that it is important for a happy and well run store.
Anyway... I have my English exam tonite, so I was reading through my notes this morning. I am not worried at all about it.
I am halfway through "Treasure Island", which I am enjoying very much, although I have a hard time thinking of it as Children's Lit- man, those pirates are scary and mean!
I made peanut brittle this morning, although I over cooked it a bit, so it tastes a little burnt. Which sucks.
Now I am going to lay on my couch and watch a mind-numbing movie and perhaps nap. Considering this is the last afternoon I have off until Christmas, I think I deserve it!!!
