I started "To The Lighthouse" and was ready to gouge my eyes out before I'd finished the 2nd page. Good luck!

aw, i liked "to the lighthouse". it's mildly easier than "mrs. dalloway". i'm pretty impressed at the amount of classics you're getting in - if you do continue in english lit., it will serve you very well.

and there's nothing wrong with an english degree from unbsj, says the girl who has one.

I find Wolfe incredibly dull. I went through a kick where I was reading all the Wordsworth Classics (3 for $10 may have had something to do with it :-P).

wolfe is not an easy read, that's for sure.

I'm on my sixth cup of coffee.
I have spent the entire morning revising my English Essay.
I think I am losing my sanity.
But I love my essay, which is all that really matters. I seriously don't think I have ever worked this hard on a single essay. It's not even worth that much of my mark, but I really enjoy writing it... which is odd because I am not a fan of either of the authors I am writing on - Bronte and Dickens (Jane Eyre and Hard Times). Meh- the essay rocks though. I took my rough draft to my prof yesterday and he gave me some stuff to work on that he said he wouldn't normally ask a lower level student to look at, but since I am obviously ready for it, he said he wasn't going to hold me back. And since then I had spent pretty much all my time editing it. Seriously, some sentences I have spent like 10 min just finding the right words I want to use. Thank god for my thesaurus, dictionary, and harbrace handbook.
Of couse, this being said, I damn well better get an A on this essay... I didn't put this much work into it for a B. Which I don't think is likely anyway becasue I made an A- on my last essay, and this one is much tighter and fluid and just plain better than the first one (I think). My hope is for the A+... it would just feel so damn good to make A+.
Woot- I love English. Seriously, I didn't think it was possibly to have this much fun writing an essay. It's been soooooo much fun. Woot! (Yes, I'm a geek. Deal with it.)

Allright, enough is enough. Oh, I watched "Thank you for Smoking" last weekend- laughed my ass off. Very good.

Gotta get food to soak up some of the coffee. Then must read "To the Lighthouse". And "The Aeneid"... and Ovid's "Fasti"... and then start research for my next essay. Woot!
