So after Wednesday night's performance of "Henry IV", I took Andrea out for a drink at my favourite local hangout. It was delightful. Afterwards I walked home in the middle of a thunderstorm. Because I was wearing my dress shoes and didn't want them to get ruined, I took them off and put them in my bag and walked home barefoot. Naturally, because I am walking down the middle of the street, barefoot at 1am, one of my fellow den parents drives by. He had been out for a drink with his mother and sister. He puts down his window and offers me a drive, which I accept. I knew he thought I was totally drunk, but I wasn't at all. When I got out of the car and he saw I wasn't wearing shoes, he was just like "Hayley, where are you shoes?" It was pretty funny... I felt like a bit of an ass, but oh well. Considering it has been around 40 degress the past few days, I was enjoying the walk home barefoot in the thunderstorm more than you could possibly imagine.
In response to Lisa's comment... I will be home for TotE... but depending on how exhausted I am I may or may not make it to any of the performances.... I will try to make it out to something... :-)
