I think yesterday was my first serious burn out day. I woke up at 6:45 and just plain wanted to die. And for once it was not because I had over drank the night before, but just because I was so tired and exhausted. Although, I had gone out on Saturday night and had a couple drinks and some munchies, I was still back and in bed at 12:00.
I fought throughout the day to get a second wind. It didn't come easy. I did the programs and tech for the kids presentation in the morning, and then went back to the dorms and slept for a while. I totally zonked... I guess Laura had knocked on my door to ask me if I wanted to go swimming, but I was so sound asleep I didn't even hear her...
The new group of two weekers arrived in the afternoon... 44 more students. I tried to find some energy... we played some games with them, then I went to bed between 11 and 11:30. I seriously couldn't stay awake any longer.
This morning I feel a little better. I know I have lots of work to get done, but at the moment I am going to go down in the stairwell and lay in the sun and have a cat nap.
I saw what is perhaps the best play at the Festival this season- "Harlem Duet". I was amazing. The acting was unbelievable. If anyone is planning a trip to Stratford any time this summer, check it out. "London Assurance" was also pretty good... typical period farce. Brian Bedford was delightful as usual...
