The move is nearly complete. I am currently waiting for my parents to arrive back in town- they went to Montreal to get the rest of my stuff. So once they get here, I can get the remainder of my apartment set up. It is looking fantastic. I am so happy. :-) And, I found out yesterday I am Colin's neighbour. So if you know where Colin lives, than you know where I live... (I am not going to name the street.)
I worked at the Imperial yesterday doing the lighting hang for SJTC. As I threw on lights and quickly and efficently tightened the correct bolts and so forth, I had this thought about how cool it is that I know how to do that stuff. It's not exactly common knowledge to know what to when when someone says "Take two Fernels and split 6" stage left pointing upstage." Even if I do not what to persue theatre as my career, I think I sometimes forget that I have some highly specialized knowledge in the field (more than just knowing how to hang lights.) So, considering I have been feeling pretty down the past week, I am going to make a point of looking at the positive things that I can do, as opposed to lingering on the negative aspects of my life.
