I'm debating what to take for classes in intersession... I am going to take "Intro to the Study of Literature"... it'll probably be a piece of cake for me, but I am hoping it has some reading requirments so I can be forced to up my reading pace.
Then I am stuck with two options for my second course. I want to take them both, but I can't because they overlap. There is "Intro to Social and Cultural Anthropology". I would like to take this because it would be relevant to Interculture Studies which is what I am thinking of focusing on and perhaps majoring in. Plus, since I am in the middle of reading Guns Germs&Steel it would nice and relevant to that. (I think- I am not going to pretend to know anything about Anthropology.) However, for some reason my brother didn't like this course. Not that I let that have any influence on me... I know there are lots of things he doesn't like that I do. The only other thing about this course is I can't seem to find any information about the Prof. I would like to know the Profs credientials and such... I'm sure he's good, but it's just a curiousity point for me. Also, this class has only a dozen people signed up for it; it would be nice to be in such a small group. The other course I want to take in "Shaping the Earths Surface", sorta a geology course for the non-scientist. I just think it looks fascinating. And the prof is the assistant prof of the Geology department in Saint John, so I am sure she would be good. (Maybe- who knows.)
I wanna take them both!!!
On another note, I took a sound course at the Imperial Theatre last week... good times, good times... I learned lots about sound, but was also surprised to discover how much I retained from last fall. On Saturday we had a hands on day where a band came in and we had to set up the moniters, and do all the levels and so forth. I had a great time...
