Honesty.
Such an important, vital commodity that is lacking in todays society.
Everyone hides behind their masks.
Refusing to show their true faces.
Why is it so hard to say "I like you"
"I hate you"
"You bug me"
"I want to fuck you"
Instead we don't say.
We live in confusion.
We live in our minds.
Saying
"He likes me"
"She hates me"
When really it's the other way around.
Honesty scares people.
Honesty is too harsh.
Where can you hide in the artic tundra?
Where can you hide in the deseret?
Instead we stay in the temperate zones.
Safe in our vagueness.
Safe in not knowing.
Innocent.
Keep on your mask of friendship.
Keep on your mask of contentment.
Your Hannibal Lecter mask.
Guy Fawkes mask.
Your black ski mask.
Sitting on the fence between love and hate.
