Yesterday was a long day. A long, long, long, looooooong day. Somehow I got wrangled into being a scruiteneer for the conservatives. Wow.... talk about boring. And the liberal scruiteneer at my poll was an old guy who every time the poll clerk said the number of a voter, I had to repeat it about five times before he got it crossed off. The poll clerk said to me later "You were very patient with him"... I think she was impressed. Fortunatly he left at about 6pm, so we didn't have to put up with him during the count. By seven o'clock I gave up sitting at my poll and made friends with a guy in his first year at UNBSJ who was also scrutineering. Of course both my mom (who was a DRO at one of the polls) and the lady who was the poll clerk at my poll were like "Are you picking yourself up a man?" My reply was simple... he's younger than me. So no. I was a little disappointed that Wallace lost. Not that I know enough about politics to have a great opinion, Mr. Wallace seemed really nice. And I don't like Zed for personal family reasons I can't/shouldn't get into. So it's done.
I had a good weekend... went to the Improv Corp show on Saturday night and saw lots of people. It was nice to get out and be with people... I'm beginning to feel like such a hermit. Went to Brokeback Mountain on Sunday afternoon. I really enjoyed the movie... it impressed me. The most effective romance I have seen in a long time. Sunday evening I hung out with an old friend- well, old boyfriend. Somehow I seem really good at maintaining friendships with ex-boyfriends. We went for coffee and played some cards and watched tv... a nice chill evening.
Now I've just got to sort out the job hunt and the apartment. I have a friend of a friend who might be interested in subletting. I hope she is... I don't feel comfortable subletting to a complete stranger since the apartment is still in my name and technically my responsibility. I have no idea what I am going to do today. No. Idea. None. At. All. Let the boredom begin.
