I am having a truly enlighting afternoon... I am hooking up my parent's new washer and dryer. Wow... it's not really complicated, it's just that I'm parinoid that I am going to screw something up and water will randomally start spraying everywhere or something.
The washer is up and running... I did the test run. I even got the hot hooked up to the hot and the cold hooked up to the cold! I was so proud of myself!
I have to go to the hardware store and pick up some dryer hose and some clamps to secure it in place. I guess we didn't have any clamps on our old dryer.... That doesn't surpise me, it was probably my father who hooked it up. It's safe to say, I am offically the most qualified person in my family to even think about touching a wrench, screwdriver, pliers, or saw... etc... for my mom, getting out the hammer to put a picture up on the wall is a large feat. The other day I randomally took out some dry wall and patched some places in my room where I had ripped away paint from hanging posters up. I think my mom was completely freaked out.
Carpentry stuff is fun... I like drills. And power ratchets rock...
So, I think I am going to take a bartending course next week. I think it might be a good oppertunity to get some experience that way I might have a chance at getting a bartending/waitressing job this summer. I always loved serving coffees and lattes etc at Java so I think I would really enjoy bartending.
And I think I am going to head up to Montreal either tomorrow or next weekend to bring some stuff down. My mom and I might rent a half-ton and just load that up... I don't really have that much stuff, we could probably fit it all on the back of a half tone and just tie it down... It was funny, when I moved up we rented a uhaul and I think we only filled maybe 1/4 of it!!
I went out to Sebastians with Suzy last night... I really enjoy that place... it's really nicely set up. I had a nice evening with Suzy, while enjoying my first ever martini... I had the raspberry one... I was scared I wouldn't like it because it would be too strong... but it was quite tasty!
I think I'm going to go see a movie tonight... I want to see Underworld... I know, it's supposed to be horrible, but I liked the first one, and want to see the second...
