This week has been spent mostly working on the setup for the first studio show... we got the slide up and working on tuesday night... and it moves very slowly when it lifts up like a draw bridge.... It takes like 2 and a half minutes to lift up completely. When the director was watching it, you could just see him swearing inside his head. Something is going to have to be done to make it faster, otherwise they will have to cut it. This week has been mostly a blur. I spent most of Tuesday researching Russia for background information on Three Sisters. I was so pumped up by the end of the day, it was great. Russian history is so much fun! Ah... other than that, really, this week has been kind of slow. Not many classes, just the work calls at the theatre. On other news, I finally broke down and bought an umbrealla today. I have got soaked one too many times, and I got downtown today to go to my bank apointment, and it started to rain. So I went into the bay and searched out the umbrealls. The bay is actually quite a pleasant store to be in at 9:30 on a Wednesday morning. There is hardly anyone around. As opposed to a weekend, or even worse, at christmas time, when it is utter chaos. Today we got the day off from school (an extra day, because we didn't get called in for tech adjust.) I went wandering around a few stores on St. Catherine street... HMV... Future Shop... drooled over dvds. It was great. Didn't buy any though. I bought a couple previously viewed last night, so I'm not allowed to buy any more for a while. Allright, did I ever feel like an ass yesterday. There's a Blockbuster pratically directly across the street from my house. I walk by it every time I go to school or the metro. I've been in there at least three? four? times. And last night, I'm walking by to go meet some friends, and I look over and realize there is a second floor to the Blockbuster. I literally stopped and stared and tried to figure out how the hell I have been in that store and never realized there was a second level. I felt like an ass. So after having a drink with my friends I went to the Blockbuster to find the stairs to take me to the second level. It was an enlightening experience. I will admit, when I was in there before I couldn't figure out why they didn't have any old movies, only recent ones. I figured it must have just been like a "mini-Blockbuster" with only recent movies. But now I know they are all upstairs. Anyway- so there's my blond moment of the month. Now I'm going to get some supper, do some more Russia research, and then make a cup of hot chocolate and snuggle into bed.
