Allright, feeling better today. Yesterday I took a sick day. We had carpentry all day, and I just didn't feel I could make it through. I woke up with horrible stomach pains and headach, so I called my carpentry coach and told him I wasn't feeling well. So I slept all morning, and watch a movie in the afternoon and did some homework, and then went out and did laundry last night. I think that I may have discovered the perfect time to do laundry. There was only like one other person there. It was great. It was nice and quiet (except obviously the machines) so I got some work done.
It was a pleasant fall evening. I enjoyed my walk to the laundry-mat. (About a 8min walk.) It had that fall smell in the air. Crisp, with a faint smell of wood stove in the air. The coolness felt so good on my face. It was wonderful. The laundry-mat is in the middle of a residental area, so as I walked there, there were people going about their daily routine, a father and young son leaving the house, another couple arriving home. It reminds me that even though I live in a big city, and everything might seem so strange and faceless, there are still real people living their real lives.
Today, tech drawing and drafting all afternoon! Boo-yeah! I should have made cookies... I owe Chris a batch of cookies sometime. Long story. Basically I tried to bribe my way out of work with cookies. Somehow I ended up doing the work anyway, and still have to make the cookies. We are to have preliminary designs done for Three Sisters. I've got mine pretty well done. I am anxious to see what Chris says about them.
Or, I finally watched The Royal Tenenbaums yesterday. I really enjoyed it. Having now see Wes Anderson's three big films, I can honestly say I enjoy his films. They are so subtle and interesting. Remarkable commentaries on the absurdity of life and human nature.
I want to go see Prime this weekend. I also want to see Everything is Illuminated sometime. If only I had time...
