Ze Veekend...
So I've had the past two days off. This was my last two day break between now and Christmas. Yes, you heard me right. Between now and Christmas I have an average of about a day off a week (except for October 17 - Nov 4 when I have no days off... ahhh 19 days in a row...)
So I enjoyed my two days off as much as possible. Friday evening all the first and second year tech students went to see THE CORPSE BRIDE. I wasn't really impressed... it just felt a little weak. I liked it nevertheless... but it was a little dissapointing. Then we went out for beer. I got home before too late.
Sat was a cleaning day... cleaned the apartment. There was some weird stentch coming from my fridge, so I moved it and cleaned under it. Did laundry (there was a *really* hot guy at the laundry mat... drool.). Then I went out to the see Norma performed by the Monteral Opera. IT was really well done. The soprano who played Norma was wonderful; it is a very technically difficult role, and she performed it marvellously.
Then yesterday I did homework, and baked a turkey dinner (with a chicken, but that's besides the point). What fun! I don't even technically have enough pans to cook a turkey dinner, but I pulled it off. It was very tasty. Although I felt like such a loner cooking such a nice dinner just for myself. Oh well.
Now backtracking to Fri... the end of Shop week went well. We made a protype of the drafting table which we will all be building sometime. It looks really nice. I am excited. And at the end I gave this nice little thank you to my two instructors for the week and teaching me so much about construction. And JF (the head instructor) got all evil on me and was like, "I should talk to Norbert about making you head carp on the first show you guys do." And I wouldn't be surprised if he did. I think he found our class an absolute riot. It was a good week.
This week is a mixture of lots of things, with scenic painting in the evenings. Should be fun! I've also got to get my drafting done for my technical drawing class. Our drafts are being sent out to have blue prints made of them on Fri, and then Saturday we are making maquettes of them.
Now I've gotta go down to the theatre and do some sort of lighting hang thing... I'm not sure what it is yet.
