Another weekend come and gone... and it's not until Tuesday that I get to comment on it. It was filled with the usual... work... sleep... Sunday afternoon movie... Thunder storm...
I saw MR. AND MRS. SMITH (I know, I'm about a month behind everyone else seeing it.) I enjoyed it a lot. As was said by everyone else... a nice fluffy action movie. Bubblegum, as I like to put it... no real substance, but fun to chew.
Last night I watched BRIDE AND PREJUDICE. Well... except for the couple random song and dance routines, I was okay with it. I don't mind musicals when the songs are intregrated into the plot of the movie- like the way in CHICAGO where all the song and dance numbers were just part of Roxi's imagination. Or when the characters are actually in a situation where they would actually sing and dance. So a couple of the number in B&P I was okay with. Others annoyed me.
Um... what else... I went shopping for kitchen stuff. All that little nit-picky stuff that you need for your kitchen and take for granted when you still live with your parents. Like a carrot peeler... and a can opener. You're just used to them always being there, so why would they ever not be there, right? See, this is the Hayley mentality. I don't think it's clued in yet that I am really honestly and truly going to be living on my own in Montreal in about a month and a half. Yikes! A good Yikes, but Yikes nevertheless.
Got four shirts (2 tanks, 1 3/4 sleeve and one zip up sweather) for $20... I was happy. I like finding cheap clothes. Yeah sales.
Tonight I'm going to join Lisa and whoever else is coming for "The Perfect Man". Should be fun.
Tomorrow I'm going up to Hartland to my Great-Uncles funeral. He passed away during heart surgery on Friday night. I didn't know him very well... although I probably knew him better than any of my other great-uncles... He always called me "Turkey"... I never knew why but it always made me laugh. He was a good and caring man. I guess he heart swelled up when they were operating, so my mom said "We always knew he had a big heart." And it's true. May he rest in peace.
