Well, I just set my personal record for the amout of time employed at a specific job... I was hired at Swiss Chalet on Monday... had my first training shift on Wednesday, and quit on Thursday. Honestly, I felt bad. I don't like accepting a job offer than turing around 24hrs after filling out my employment forms and quitting. But they scheduled me for a bunch of split shifts, which is not convienent considering I live West, and my mom was concerned about transportation costs. Also, when I told a couple different people I was hired there they just told me that the manager is a complete and utter bastard. So. I already have to put up with one manager who's a bitch, so I don't need a bastard to round out my barrel of fun. So I politely resigned yesterday. So I'm still on the job hunt. However, my dad is pulling some strings to get me a job at the Riverside golf course. (Yes, I realize transportation could become an issue there too considering it's further away from my home than Swiss Chalet, but if I'm working nice long 8hrs shifts it's more worth it than the measly 2-3hr shifts I woudl be getting at SC. And, Riverside becomes my dad's second home during the summer, so I can get drives with him.) So, I'm not out of bed ten minutes this morning when the golf pro calls me and says that my dad was mentioning I was looking for a job, and asked if I could come out this morning and meet with him. So who-hoo!! I love it when I'm getting calls for interviews at places that I haven't even dropped off resumes! So, we'll see what happens this morning... maybe I'll have a cooshy 40hr/week summer job by the end of the day! Plus, I made this point to my mom, have you seen how cute some of the guys are that you find at golf courses!? And how rich some of them are? Maybe I can snag myself a cute, rich golfer boyfriend by the end of the summer... hahaha..... Come on.... A girl can dream, right? So, my mom and I had a cool daying hanging out together yesterday... we took my dad to the airport (he went down south on a golfing trip), I quite my job, then we went shopping, got groceries, picked up a movie, stopped by the liquor store, then went for a walk at the nature park. I made fettichinie alfrado for supper and we watched A Love Song for Bobby Long after supper. I really liked the movie... it was good. I also picker her up an early mothers day present... a Best of CCR CD. (We got a new car- it has a CD player.. so I thought my mom needs a CCR CD.) So... good day... good day.
