I think I'm going to have to buy myself a new computer... mine is slow, and has crashed so many times that it doesn't run properly anymore. It won't fly for next year if I get into NTS... so I should probably budget some money away for a new one.
So my dad spent $350 on an outfit for my brother yesterday. $350 on one outfit, that he probably will wear once (on Sat for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary party) and never wear again. Whenever I ask to buy new clothes I get the whole "you have money, but you're own clothes." Where is the equality? The fairness? My god, I hope I'm never as dependant on my parents as my brother is. (Yes, they have my scolarship fund for uni, which I'll be totally dependant on for three years or more, but I don't count that.) I mean being so broke that I'd have to ask mom and dad for money to buy bread and milk, or a coffee and a newspaper... I hope I'm never that dependant. And then theres my brother... 24 years old with $700 a month rent and university tuition... a girlfriend living in the apartment who he wants to move out, but won't, and doesn't pay anything in on the rent... and not a cent of his own money to pay for even a dozen eggs for breakfast. Man.... and they can't let him have any extra money ever becasue he'll just spend it on liquor.
GRR..... anyway- if my life even remotely resembles his when I'm 24 someone had better give me a good beating and tell me to smarten the fuck up.
Fortuntly, I don't think that will happen. With any luck I'll get into NTS and by the time I'm 23 be working in the theatre industry somewhere doing something.
Speaking of NTS- I got my project in the mail on Saturday. It should arrive in Montreal tomorrow. I think it turned out really well. I feel it was the best I could do, considering some of the stuff I didn't really know what I was doing.
I need another job... my last day of class is friday (mind you, I have an essay due on that day which I haven't started writing yet.... yikes!). I'm going to drop off some resume today and see if I can get a waitressing job somewhere.... Anywhere... I don't care... I just need something for the evenings, where I can get like 15hrs.
