So, (drum roll please), I'm offically nine-teen years old! My birthday was yesterday. No, I didn't go partying... I worked all day, then my parents took me to supper, and then I came home and watched Ella Enchanted with my mommy. Then I went to bed. Very tame. Next weekend I'm supposed to be going out with a couple friends from work- so hopefully that will be a more exciting celebration...
I started uni this week.... Poetry looks like it will be okay... the teacher used to teach high school, so I think her lecture style will be something I'm very used to.
Shakespeare.... well... the teacher was like "you shouldn't even be here" (cuz I guess you're required to have at least 9 lower level credits to get into a high level class.) But I told her I have a background in Shakespeare, and I'm interested in it.... She said she'd look into it. She said she could grant me permission to take it, but they don't like to do that cuz they don't like first years in third year classes.... but I don't think she realizes that I'm not your normal first year student.... I'm not saying that to be egotistical, but I've been told in the past that I seem older and more mature than I am. Plus, it's Shakespeare... even compared to most third year I probably have more background, considering my history in theatre. Plus, I firmly believe that my enthusiasim and the effort I would put into the course would make up for my lack of uni experience.
So. Um. Going to see the Avaitor today. And I'm going to do some reading. We're doing Sir Gawain and the Green Knight in Poetry right now. And I'd like to get some more read in Othello.
Now I'm hungry and want breakfast....
