I've been extremely busy lately- I didn't even get to go to the scene design workshop at SJTC yesterday afternoon because I was so busy! Second semester started last Wednesday. I got 85%, 89%, and 93% in my last semester classes. Fortunatly I got the two spare blocks I wanted, so I only have three courses this semester- German, Math, and History. My math is level 2, so I could cuff half my classes and probably still get an 85%. My History on the other hand is a level higher than I expected, so I will probably end up working harder than expected in that class... and German... well, it might as well be Greek.
I went to see MYSTIC RIVER last weekend. The acting was excellent. Sean Penn and Tim Robbins should get the Oscars without a doubt in my opinion. Other movies I've watched are LOST IN TRANSLATION (I liked it a lot), UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN (pretty good, which I didn't expect...), AMERICAN SPLENDOR (I'm pretty sure Scott will like this, there were some very inovative and artistic combinations of comic drawings incorporated into the movie), MY BOSS'S DAUGHTER (I was bored, it was bad). I started watching CINEMA PARIDISO, and didn't finish it... much to Luke's annoyance I really didn't enjoy what I watched- it was an excellent movie, but I just couldn't get into it. I also started watching SECONDHAND LIONS... the only real reason is because we got quite a few in for rent, and everyone is going to be asking about it because I'm pretty sure pratically no one has heard about it... I watched PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN again.... I couldn't believe that Johnny Depp was nominated for an Oscar for that movie!!! I mean, I liked his performance, it's probably my favourite part of the movie, but it just does not seem appropriate for the Oscars.... When I told Luke Johnny was nominated on Tuesday morning he said, for what, and then he just said "you're joking right"... he seriously thought I was lying.... hehe, it was funny.
I've been working like crazy... I got called in for a couple shifts at the Baking Stone which added more hours... anyway, I gotta go....
