Stratford is amazing. In a nutshell, here's what I have done so far.
-toured all four theatres (including lighting booths, into the fly gallery, sound studios, costume rooms, etc...)
- shadowed the lighting and sound technicians in the booth during a production of "Pericles"
-saw "The Hunchback of Notre Damn" (it wasn't very good)
- talked to a set and costume designer
- talked to a lighting designer
- toured the scene shop
- went to "Meet the Festival" (a Q&A period) featuring Richard Monette (the artistic director)
Plus more stuff.... it's been wondrful. It's mostly just shadowing, but it teaches you alot about the design process and what involved in theatre production. It's wonderful... simply wonderful.
However, I'm a little bit sick today with a sore throat, so I'm headed back to the dorms to get some rest before going to The King and I this evening. :)
