Work at Blockbuster is sooooo easy and slack (especially during the day- I'm sure evenings are different). I worked with Jordan and Ken yesterday. Jordan was awesome, and Ken's my boss and I always have a difficult time defining the boundaries when working with the boss. (ie, how much can you joke... and so forth). It's such a tedious and monotonous job... but it's nice nevertheless. Most of yesterday I put stickers on things... ratings stickers on the movies coming out next week, and sercuirty stickers on some new merchandise. Pretty damn exciting... not. I sold my first rewards membership!! Whoo-hoo!! Although I'm still really uncertain and clumsy with ringing people in, I'm getting better... I'd say after about two or three more shifts I'll be right on.
I watched "Nickolas Nickleby", based on the novel by Charles Dickins, last night... I really enjoyed it a lot. The acting was very good, in my opinion. Jamie Bell (the kid from Billy Elliot) played a cripple who is badly abused, and Christopher Plummer plays the sinister and deceptive uncle. Plus, I love period films in general- the costumes and sets we're awesome. Also, I found some of the camera work and the images that they focued on were wonderful.
