I've come to the conclusion that my life has been an odd one. I think all this has sprung from my upbringing in music.... all my life I have lived with my father (naturally) who is obsessed with classical music. Therefore I have no fucking clue who the Grateful Dead are (I'm exagarating), but yet I could list for you more composers and operas than most people could. For instance, right now, at 7:49 in the morning on Canada Day my father has the 1812 overature playing. Honestly, what the fuck. I despise Christmas time, because that means we get to listen to Messia and the Halluaugah (wow, that's spelled wrong, but I don't care) Chorus fifteen hundred billion times. What's worse, is that I can't escape it. I can go to my room and close the door, but he always seems to turn it up so that even the traquility of my room is invaded by some bloody piece of classical music. I'm expecting the fucking cannons to start going off any moment now in the 1812. Anyways... it just gets annoying sometimes. I have more tolarance for it now than I did when I was younger, but nevertheless, it still drives me nuts.
And my father wonders why I never have friends over... honestly, it's because I don't need to be embarrassed when he puts on some loud, obnoxious opera aria... and yes, it does embarrass me. It's happened before, me and my friends will be sitting downstairs, and up it starts. I hang my head and say, that's my father... and they have this bewildered expression upon their faces. I can easily ignore the music, but I know that most people couldn't because it would seem sooo out of the ordinary.
I could ran on about this forever and ever and ever and ever... but I won't bother. It won't change the fact that those fucking cannons are still going to go off upstairs.
