Yesterday was reallllllllly boring.... I went jogging in the morning, although I really didn't feel like it. I walked part of the trail... there was one spot where there were some tree stumps on a side hill, and there were little mice running around. They were so cute! There was one that was running in and out from this tree stump about a foot and a half from my feet- he was so cute!! I never thought I would be saying that a mouse would be cute- but he was!
I made sticky rubarb muffins yesterday afternoon- they turned out okay, although I perfere my old recipie that I always make.
I have been enlisted to be a button monkey for Art. Sandra emailed me on Tuesday to see if I could come in and press a play button on a VCR for some promotional video they are showing before the play... I said sure- at least it gives me something to do!! Plus, I felt bad that I hadn't done anything for this production... considering I missed out on The Miracle Worker and Death of a Salesman. Then again, I guess I have missed out on a lot of stuff over the past seven months... :o(
I have a co-op interview on Monday!! I pray to god that I get a placement in the program... I'm really relying on that to get me a couple credits for next year!!!
I sent my money to Stratford yesterday... so it's all set! I'm really excited... I can't wait to get a good taste of technical theatre.... I've been reconsidering my "life ambition" over the past week or so. I'm just getting quite sick and tired of acting... it's not the acting itself, but everything else that goes along with it... the auditions, and waiting, the rumours, the rejection, the politics, the melodrama, the hipocracy, the backstabbing, the dissappointment... it's all just so fucking annoying. However, if I were to erase theatre from my life altogether I would be left with nothing.... so I'm seriously thinking of studying technicial production when I graduate. That's why I'm looking forward to Stratford, it will be a good taste of what it's like as a techie or props head or costume designer in professional theatre. I've seen a bit of it with the Saint John Theatre Company (which I'm extremely grateful for) and this will give me an even better idea of what it's like.
My brother called the other day... he's alive and enjoying tree planting a lot.... which is good... at least I don't have to worry about him coming home for a while **knock on wood**.... So all is well....
