The past few days have been pretty interesting. All the shows went very well. I had no prop mess ups! (Except when the donuts fell off the plate.... oh well.) The cast party was pretty tame, but I had fun talking to people. Then we loaded out yesterday and put everything back to order in the loft. So that's that.
Being head of props was a wonderful experience for me, and I'm really happy that Lysbeth and Sandra gave me the oppertunity. I was a little nervous and unsure going into it, and right up till opening night I was parinoid I would mess everything up. But it turns out I did a pretty good job! It was a lot of work, but I love theatre so much that I didn't mind spending countless hours painting boxes or making marshmallow oysters!
Some people asked me which I perfer- onstage or backstage. I enjoy both. I know that the parts arn't always going to be right for me, and I'm not always going to get cast. So I'll work backstage!
Now I'm excited to get started on The Merchant of Venice- onstage or backstage!
I was supposed to go up to Hartland today to see Hartland High School's production of Grease! On second thought, I think I'm just going to avoid it and stay home. The only reason I was going was because my friends is in it.... I don't know... I'll see.
Gotta work the next couple days... Summer Shakespeare final auditions are this week... DramaFest is this week- I'm planning on going up Thursday to take in some plays, but I also want to go up Friday to see Jeff Scott's production of Macbeth.
Lots of stuff to do.... Little time to do it.
