Everything has been going very well over the past couple days. I had an audition with John Mazerolle yesterday- and it went fairly well I think. As usual, I think I spoke too fast.... and I had a miserable time pronouncing some of the words. I just have this tendancy to look at words that are simple to say, and nevertheless making them more complicated. Plus, I never took phonics in school, so therefore I'm a horrible speller and I blame it alll on the education system. Anyway- he got me to read five different short pieces... the first one I did badly, the second I did well, the third I did well, the forth I did meh, and the fifth I did so-so. At least in my opinion. I'm not feeling at all hopeful, becasue I know it's based primarly on how your voice sounds, therefore that can't really be controlled.
Today... I stopped by the baking stone. The manager said that the girl is supposed to be back on Wednesday, but she doesn't feel very hopful because the doctor told her to stay off her foot. She said she would contact me this evening with more information. Then I went to my Co-op interview at the school. I guess I'm as good as in. The interview went awesome... I just discussed my love for theatre and my aspirations to act and do technical production- so it was a pleasure!!! The lady who interviewed me (someone from the school board) was orginally from Hartland, so we had that sorta home grown question.... she mentioned her brother and I said yes I know him, and there was a so and so in my grade, and she said he's my nephew... and so forth.
Then I stopped by Blockbuster, and Mr. Manager there said that there is going to be some staff turnover this week most likely, so he would be calling me soon- because I'm at the top of the list, he said. So marvellous! I know it would seem reallllllly extreme if I were by chance to be working three different jobs (JM, Baking Stone, and Blockbuster), but I'm almost thinking it might potentially happen. They would all be just part time- maybe 15-20 hours a week, so at most I would be working 60hours a week, which isn't that outrageous. And if the other girl comes back at Baking Stone I would probably only get maybe 10 hours there (if they want/need me at all), and Lindsay and Mel are always looking for more hours at JM if I needed some time off. And Blockbuster wouldn't conflict with the market because I asked for evening shifts there, and the market isn't open in the evening. So badda-bing, badda-boom. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Now I suppose I should go shower... I just jogged at the park... I did a sorta snakey pattern through the park and probably ended up running about 8-9km in about an hour and ten min. I reached the point where I was running and didn't even notice or feel any pain or agony... but then my walkman started dying on me, and my ankle started hurting so I had to slow to a walk.
So, shower time....
