Five days in 15-20 degree temperatures.... it was wonderful!
To sum up my trip, that's the best part. Spent time with my mom shopping, and found some really great buys on some clothes. We wandered around Broadway at the Beach, a tourist zone filled with stores, resturants and cafes. I had some Ben & Jerry's ice cream one day, and some homemade gelato another day- they were both yummy! Mom and I went to the beach one afternoon... it was so nice and warm- I laid directly on the soft sand with only my shorts and bikini top, enjoying the warm sun. We had supper at Hard Rock Cafe one night, and a brick oven pizza place another. Had lunch at Planet Hollywood, which was fun. Mom and I went to see The Lion King at IMAX which was cool- I'd never been to an IMAX before.
Our condo was located on a golf course (blah)... but it was a nice place. We had a third floor condo, and our front there was a little lake with palm trees all around it. Some of my trip was just spent relaxing there... I'd sit on the balcony reading The Merchant of Venice and sipping coffee...
By far the worst part of the trip was the driving... 20 hours each way... uugh... it was painful.
But overall a good relaxing trip, just what I needed!
Now it's back to the rat race of real life... I'm working today, and need to get in contact with the school about getting my reading list for English. Plus I need to do some work on math if I'm actually going to try and get that credit. I need to prepare an audition piece in the next couple weeks- I have a couple picked out but I'm not sure which one I want to use. Plus, I want to get back to Comedy Knights (in part because I miss all the people!) and I'm going to Salesman this Friday night. (I was going to volunteer to work backstage at the show... but I don't think that's a good idea considering there's other things I need to get done.) Oh well....
