2002... where did thee go? There were good times- hooking up with the Comedy Knights and making many wonderful friendships and going to the improv games in Moncton with them; working backstage for Sylvia; haveing multiple personalities in Cyrano de Bergerac; going to Stratford for two weeks and seeing ten productions, plus acting classes and meeting many actors; playing an eight year old boy in Showdown at the Fourcorners Corral; being voted Most Promising Person Under 20 in Saint John; swimming on the SJHS swimteam; plus other things I know I'm forgetting!
However, I think this year has been a time for learning and experiencing... and not everything has been good. A friend said to me the other day, when I asked if I have changed in the two years, that I'm more confident and self assured, but maybe less happy. I asked, why less happy? She said simply "Hayley, you've been through a lot." And that is true. I experienced both ends of the spectrum- total happiness and contentment, and deep depression, anger and sadness. The good things I listed above were marvellous, but sometimes they were clouded over. Although I have memories and tokens from the good things, I have scars from the bad that will never dissappear. I must say that I truly hope that 2003 proves to be overall a little brighter than 2002 was.
Anyway, didn't do much today... had New Years Day feast... watched The Firm, then To Sir With Love (at least I think that was what it was called...)... worked on redoing my physics lab which I totally fucked up. See, I had my measurements in g and cm, when standard units are kg and m. Therefore I had to do a bunch of decimal moving, as well as redo some calculations and my graph because I had added 0.5kg to 763.0g without making the units match. Fuck.
