Work was pretty crazy yesterday, although not as bad as I expected. After eight hours of serving coffee, I rushed my ass uptown at quarter to eight to see Romeo and Juliet. I parked about one and a half blocks away (thinking there wouldn't be parking places nearer), quickly changed my shirt in the car (although come to think of it, there are surveillance cameras on that parking lot) then jogged down the street to the school with my coat in my hand and my bad loosly thrown over my shoulder. I made it with time to spare- whew!
Due to the fact that I want to keep my head, and for fear that people from SJHS read this, I will not comment on the production. All I will say is that it was a high school production and if that was all the cast was aiming for, then they had a fantastic show. Good job to all of them.
I was also talking to a one of the directors of the one act plays for Second Stage. He mentioned he'd like me to audition for one of the roles in the play he's directing.... :o) I'm also excited for the Christmas party Tuesday night... although I'm not much of a ethnic food chef... I think I'm going to stick to a simple yummy dessert...
Grr... my manager is still trying to completely fuck with my and my hours. I put up a huge fuss a while ago because I can only work a shift a week, otherwise I get too stressed out and don't have time for school work. Well, she put me on two shift last weekend, which pissed me off.... and now she has me scheduled for next Wednesday evening, when I thought she knew that I can't work school nights! Gah... why does the fact that I'm a student not sink into her? Especially since I thought that we already have it figuered out that I don't work school nights because it keeps me up past my bed time! Jesus Christ. I'm seriously so close to quitting that it's not even funny because it's just pissing me off. Especially since I don't feel like I'm the culprit. I am going to try and switch with my co-worker to the Thursday evening shift, so that I can at least come to Comedy Knights! And, luckily, I think after Christmas I might be working every other Saturday at the market which will be much better, because the manager at the market understands that I'm a student, and can't take a lot of hours. I'm basically only work to keep my job for next summer, it's not because I'm in need of money- I don't spend much so I'm pretty much okay. Anyway...
