Hum dee hum... I'm completely bored. And I'm beginning to feel guilty because I haven't got my parents anything for Christmas yet. I'm going to try to steal the car to go to Fredericton on Friday to get them a gift certificate for a night's stay at the Sheraton, any maybe for some place for supper. That's nice enough isn't it? Cuz I can't think of anything material to get them because they don't need anything, and I can't stand the super unpersonal gifts like socks or soap.
My English teacher has been reccomending this book to me- The Hours by Michael Cunningham. (There's a movie coming out soon that's based on it with Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore (I think) and Meryl Streep.) It's just strange... Miss Sutton (my teacher) came into the classroom today, walked directly up to my desk, put the book down and said "You have to read this book.". I really didn't know how to respond... so I agreed and said I would.
We put out tree up last night. I'm so happy, because for once my mother listened to me and got a short tree! It's seriously not even as tall as me (and I'm only 5'4!) So, I'm content... I'm really not in a Christmassy mood, and having a big honkin' tree was not exactly my idea of fun.
Now I'm aimlessly sitting at Java Moose, wondering what I should be doing.... I don't even have any last min school work to do (although Mr Turner is making us to a Physics lab this afternoon... grrr....). Hum dee hum...
