It's been a pretty boring weekend for me- which is just as well since I just got over the flu. Friday evening I went to The Miracle Worker. It was well done. I had actaully seen this play earlier in the summer at the Atlantic Theatre Festival, so I found myself comparing the two a lot... (I couldn't help it.) I was quite impressed by Sandra Donnelly-Tobias who was playing Anne Sullivan. This is the first time I have seen her onstage, and, because I know her in real life, I wasn't sure what to expect from her onstage. However I thought she did played Anne very well.
Then after the show I came home and chatted on messenger till midnight. I was chatting with, okay this may seem a little odd at first, but my co-workers brother (my co-worker- Lyndsay- and I are really good friends). Lynz has been trying to set us up on a date for a couple months now... She constantly mentions things about him, and will occassionally say how we should go out to a movie. So I got his email address from Lynz. Then Friday night was the first time we chatted online. We discussed our interests and movies and stuff... General stuff... Then, while discussing Eight Crazy Days,(coming out next in a week or so) he asked me if I would like to go see it with him. This normally would have caught me off guard- but I had told Lynz earlier that day that I wanted to see the new Adam Sandler movie, and she said "so does my brother" so I told her to tell him I'd go see it with him. (I'm thinking this was why he was so confident in asking...) I was still flattered he asked... :o) The strange thing is that this will be a blind date- because I've never met him! (Or, I might have met him once or twice, but it was a year ago while I was working hence I don't remember...). But just the way Lynz talks about him, he sounds like he's definitely a nice guy.
Anyway... what else... um, I just cleaned my bed room and bath room! It's a miserable job... but I have to do it once in a while. I cleaned out the miscellaneous drawer in the bath room... and oh my god, ive never see more bobby-pins appear from no-where. When I got everything out of the drawer it was a mountain... I had four things a dental floss, two tooth brushs and two tooth pastes, two tubs of hair wax, two brushes, hair pins, and hair clips and hair elastics and god knows what else! It was pretty nuts... I don't think I have cleaned out that drawer since I moved in.
OH!! Speaking of moving in! This is my two year anniversary of living in Saint John! Exactly two years ago right now I would probably be unpacking the first boxes in my new bedroom... or actually I might have been at rehearsal for "A Midsummer Night's Dream"... cool... it's funny the things you remember...
