I got a chance to catch up with two of my friends today, whom I haven't seen in forever it seems. This afternoon I met Rosalie for coffee and cheesecake in Market Square. I was glad to here she is doing well, and it was awesome to catch up on what's been going on.
Then this evening I visited Stephanie, who is home from university because she has mono. I love chatting with her... we caught up on this and that... we had some good laughs as always (her and Chris (who stopped by) were quite confused when I said I had a bruise on my leg from a squash). It was really bizarre at one point though, because after Chris left, there was this complete eiry feeling of something inevitable and horrible. It didn't help that we were sitting in her big old house, and it was really quite, except for the quite rumbling of some sort of machine, and it was snowing and dark outside. It was so intense though that even when I tried to talk about something else completely happy and fun, we couldn't shake the feeling, nor carry on the conversation. We actually both stood up and walked across the room, just trying to shake this feeling. It was so freaky and quite honestly scary that we seriously were both petrified. Never have I felt such an ominous chill, and the fact we both felt it so strongly was quite peculiar. The only thing that possibly caused it was the abrupt departure of Chris, and then my brother was taking a particularly long time arriving to pick me up. Oh well... it did eventually go away although it was terrifying at the time.
