Well, I was busted this morning... I was cuffing first class because it was Fine Arts, and we were carving pumpkins... and I didn't want to carve pumpkins (sorry, wasn't feeling very festive and didn't feel like having dried pumpking slime on me for the rest of the day), so I was hanging out, as always, at Java Moose. Well, I was just sitting down with a second cup of coffee, and my notebook to work on my commentary, when I look up at the counter and there were my Mr. Simpson (my french teacher) and Miss Sutton (my english teacher). Well, I was completely freaked. (It doesn't help that they caught me cuffing last year once as well.) So I quickly turned around, praying to god that they wouldn't sit down. There were another couple sitting having their coffees, and they noticed that expression of guilty horror on my face, and said I could join their conversation to look more inconspicious. So I did... And of course, Sutton and Simpson did sit down... so I was trapped, because there was no way I could get out without facing them. Nevertheless I did have a rather interesting conversation with these two people; discussing a bit of politics, and music, etc. Then when they were leaving they suggested me leaving with them, to divert the attention from myself. So as I was gathering my books, which were scatted on a table, Mr. Simpson just quitly said "We didn't see you." And Miss Sutton just said "Saw who?"
Later in class Simpson let me know that he never has ratted on a student for cuffing. He said that once he was caught cuffing by his English teacher, and the teacher had said to him just what he said to me "I didn't see you." I'm grateful for teachers like that. I don't think he really blamed me when I explained the pumpkin carving senario, and had a chuckle when I admited that I seriously was completely terrified when I saw them. At least I know for next time, that when cuffing a-block not to stay at Java Moose!
The rest of my day went fine... I met up with random friend in the library who were cramming for a bio test at noon (hehe. I don't take bio...)... then I had to work on an English presentation with another friend... I got back and English essay I made 85% on- almost the highest mark in the class (87.5% was the highest), and had an French test I topped the class with (88%). So meh... that was all fine and good.
This evening I went to the "Y" to swim. (The pool at the school got drained somehow... I didn't hear the story, and I don't think it was intentional, but nevertheless it was drained and won't be open for a few days...) I had the amazing burst of engery while swimming, and accomplished this amazing endurance... I think I did a good three hundred meters without stopping... which is better than anything I've ever done before! I also was working hard on flip turns. Eek... only another day till the meet!
I never did make it to painting for The Miracle Worker... once I finished swimming I had to do homework... I despise homework. But my grades are slipping, so I have to stop slacking because god knows I'm going to need good marks for scholarships...
Oh, this is really bizzarr, but my friend Lyndsay (also my co-worker...) keeps randomally mentioning how she was planning to set me up with her brother. It's so weird, because I would just be amused to meet him- it would be fun. Lynz speaks highly of him so I know he must be a nice guy. It's just bizzarr, because I would like to have a face to match up to this personality and image I have developed in my head.
Anyway.... good night, I need sleep now...
