I just got through a rather nerve-wrecking day at work. This past week they completely renovated Java Moose at McAllister Mall, and this was my first time working at the new and improved place. There are many things I absolutely love about it... especially the fact that customers now add their own milk and sugar to their coffee, and there is running hot water! Yes! One wouldn't realize how f**king annoying it is to work in a place where there wasn't hot water... you spend half of your time trying to wash dishes in a damn container by putting boiling water and cold water... but that's all better now with the running hot water!- not to mention there are two sinks! Whoo-hoo! The entire new place will take some getting used to though... most of the time today I was just searching for things. It didn't help that is was extremely busy... I think I had a line up for four hours straight. Then I worked an extra hour and a half to help my co-worker out. At one point in time Scott stopped by to try and bug me... he can vouch for my being strung out at that point in time... gah... it was insane. Then again it makes the time go fast, and I made ten bucks in tips in four hours... not too bad.
Well, I'm going to relax this evening... I have to design a storefront for my Fine Arts class. One of those corny assignments that if you put any effort in at all you will make a fantastic mark. Plus I have to design a lab with my partners to find the acceleration due to gravity (despite the fact we already know it's 9.8m/s^2, we still have to prove it because that's what physics class is all about.) I might do those tonight... but I might brush them aside and watch Charlotte Grey which I rented a week ago, and is due back tomorrow... or read Lord of the Rings (it's taking me forever to finish the first book because I have not had any time to read! Grr...). So... I'll be off to fulfill the rest of my evening now...
