I had an amazing evening... I hosted a surprise birthday dinner for one of my best friends, Elizabeth, this evening. Three friends of ours were here, which was awesome, plus my parents (my father is an old school friend of Elizabeth's). It worked perfect, because Elizabeth (aka Captain) had no idea what I had planned... I had invited her up for supper, but she had no idea it was for her birthday or that others would be here. It was wonderful... I served bbq chicken, baked potatoes, tossed salad, then cheesecake for dessert. Dinner was accompanied with wonderful conversation and laughs galor- lots of stories about Shakespeare productions, and people... It was great. I love my friends so much, and miss them a lot (my best friend Stephanie was here- she's up from Halifax for the weekend. I haven't seen her since the end of August.) Everything was perfect. :o)
Today in general was pretty good.... except for a minor fluke that was stuck in the middle. See, I slept in this morning, and didn't go to school until after noon. I attended French class... at the end of which one of my classmates wanted to talk to me. See, yesterday I had vented a little bit to one of my friends about the Shakespeare production at the high school, and how the director had basically really pissed me off and so on... and this girl goes and relays my rant to the directors daughter, who in turn wanted to talk to me after French class. It was not pleasant, and I certanily didn't need that on top of the fact my brother was just kicked out of my house, and it was having an effect on me, regardless of whether I wanted it to or not. So, yeah... I kinda broke down a bit, but managed to overall stay together. I tried to explain my feelings to this girl, but I doubt she could even remotly understand what I have been feeling lately.
Then immediatly following this, I went on a search for this guy, who I'm sort of interested in... I wanted to ask him out to a movie sometime this weekend... it was pure luck that as I was walking down the hall, I glanced into a class room, and there he was on his way out. So I just pointed to him, and motioned to him to come talk to me... I basically just said flat out, "I was wondering if you might want to go to a movie with me, just as friends" (yes, I made this point, because I didn't want to freak him out or anything... he recently had a breakup- and I don't need a relationship right now either.) He said sure, yadda yadda... and I think we figured that Sunday evening might be a good time... so I got his phone number, so I can give him a call sometime. It was good, I was happy.
Oh... here's an amusing thing that happened (and I don't know why these things always happen to me...), but okay, this guy the other day was talking to me in the library. (I wrote about this a while ago...) So anyway, he, for whatever reason, had taken my eraser and wrote on it, "property of ****", just as a joke. Well, today in French I was working away, and Mr. Simpson comes up and says "I see you're a thief"... I looked dumbly at him, not understand why he was saying this. Then he picked up my eraser and said, well you're eraser says on it, property of ****... gah.... this wasn't good, simply for the fact, that now everyone in my french class is sort of wondering what connection I have to this guy... gah...
Overall, however, today was an excellent day
