I'm debating this evening whether or not I want to try out for the swim team tomorrow. I see quite a few pros to doing so... like I'd meet lots of people and friends, it looks good to have been on a sports teams when applying for scholarships, it would keep me in shape, plus I used to love swimming, and did it all the time when I was younger, so why wouldn't I enjoy it now? On the other hand though, I feel strangly nervous about trying out, and I'm paranoid I won't enjoy it or I'll feel out of place once I get on the team (everyone who trys out gets on the team.) Staying on the team means you have to swim at least three times a week- which isn't a very demanding schedule. So I think I will try out. Although it scary to think of me as an athlete! Eek!
Gar... I tried beginning "Wuthing Heights" today... Gar... Why oh why do you have to read that god-awful boring book!? It's torturous to have to read it, it really is. I read one and a half pages and wanted to throw it out the window!! GAHH!!!
Someone told me today that Ms Tipper is trying hard to find someone else to direct Shakespeare at SJHS. I find this kind of surprising, and am not quite sure what to make of it. I'll see what happens as this develops... on one hand it would be fantastic to have Shakespeare back again, but on the other hand I'm afraid that no one would be able to pull together the caliber of performance that Captain always did. Humm....
