MOVIE: Amelie***1/2 My problem with this movie was not a fault of the movie itself, but rather myself for I rented it, and then couldn't sit still long enough to watch it. I ended up watching it over the period of two evenings as a matter of fact, and not much of the content was absorbed by my brain. However the movie was very good and was the type of film that focused on developing the characters, while incorporating some wonderful imagry, and beautiful settings. It focused on this young woman- Amelie- and how she helps people (her father, her neighbours, he co-workers, etc), and in the end fall in love. Instead of going any further (god knows I will never be a movie critic), I recommend renting it and watching it for yourself... rent it on an evening when you are looking for something lighthearted (but when you don't mind reading sub-titles).
