Last night I had a dream, and surprisingly I remember it. It was one of the first days back to school, and I was at auditions for Shakespeare. Only what was weird was Captain decided, once everyone was seated in the Room 3 Theatre, that she was going to structure the auditions differently this year. For one, she made everyone leave, and come in one at a time to audition (only, to the incongrutity of the dream, everyone was still there), and she also had actors read specific speeches of her choice. I remember watching another actress read a speech, and doing a fairly good read... which made me feel very threatened and insecure. If I remember correctly, I did the Lady Anne speech from Richard III, and the actor that had played my Richard in Stratford was there to do the scene with me (how, why, I don't know, but he was). Then after all this auditioning, I found myself backstage rummanging through costume boxes, and there was a specific bag with costume pieces in it that Captain wanted me to retrieve for her. I found this and returned it... and this is about all I remember. The only other point that was brought to my attention in the dream was that the Room 3 Theatre stage desparately needs to be painted! Which is extremely true in real life, but luckily (I think) they are re-doing the stage this summer... which is fantastic!
