Hummmm.... Not much has been up the past couple days for me. Oh yeah- i won a camera from Thriftys the other day (cuz I had filled out a ballot when I bought a pair of jeans)- exciting, eh? It's one of those corny Polaroid i-zone cameras that make the picture stickers. It was cool to be a winner for once. I was also lucky to find the Lord of the Rings box set on sale at Coles for $20.00 (regular $32.95). I was very happy to make this exciting find which saved me a good fourteen dollars. I'm really enjoying reading the books.... although it's a litte strange considering I've already seen the movie. They're still awesome...
I have to get prepared for auditions... next week Saint John Theatre Company has their pre-season-memebers-only auditions. Although there is really no role I could possibly get cast in, I'm still going to audition. As well, when school starts (ah!) in a mere two weeks three days, then there will be auditions for Shakespeare. Ah.... auditions.... eek!
Speaking of Shakespeare, I listened to part of Ideas on CBC Radio last evening and heard Lister Sinclair speaking on the major influences that have shaped his work and life. He focused on Shakespeare, and the different components and parts of plays, and the devices that are used in the plays. It was very interesting... the final part (of his three part series) air next Thursday, August 22... you should tune in!
