Tonight I'm writing from Guelph, Ontario, where I'm staying with my Great Aunt and Uncle until I fly out tomorrow afternoon. The Shakespeare School is totally over... *sniff sniff* It's been two of the most outstanding weeks of my life, and it's all been one incredible dream that I never want to wake up from. This morning we had our final performance at eleven o'clock. A few of the festival actors attended our performance including Graham, Shelia, Barb, Brad, and Stephen. After I finished my Lady Anne scene one of my castmates also informed me that Martha Henry was also in the audience.... Ms. Henry just happened to direct "Richard III" at the festival this summer! Yikes! (It was a wonderful production, by the way, in which Tom McCamus played an amazing Richard, and put a very seductive and appealing aspect on the character, making it easy to see how he gains so much power, and also making the change in the character more dramatic once he became king. Amazing!) After, one of my friends told me that they were watching the actors' reactions as they watched my scene, and a couple of them (including Graham) were wide eyed and completely engulfed by the scene. I'm so honoured that I could recieve that sort of reaction from amazing actors at the Stratford Festival of Canada.
However I must go for now... but I will be telling many stories over the next couple days once I get home... stories of hot actors, beautiful productions, and toga parties... ;)
