I'm home again from work... however today on my way to work I had to pass through the extreme downpour outside and got completely drenched from head to toe. This was not good because I had a six hour shift serving coffee to look forward to... with wet socks and dripping hair. Oh well, I dried out before too long.
This morning (after sleeping a lot to catch up on the sleep lost due to Saturday night's extravaganza which went until four o'clock in the morning...) I got up and, seeing the miserable day outside was going to ruin my hopes of going running, I picked up a book. Lately I haven't been reading at all... since there is so much pressure to read books within restriced time frames in school, I have lost the ability to read simply for my own pleasure (with the exception of plays and Shakespeare.) So, I combined school and pleasure and started reading "The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz" by Mordecai Richler. (School because it's on my reading list for next year, and pleasure because it's a great piece of Canadian literature that I have been meaning to read for over a year now.) So far it's proved enjoyable.
This evening at work I got too see a friend of mine from school whom I haven't see, well, since school. He's an actor whom I've convinced to audition for Shakespeare- yeah! Lately I've been getting very pumped up for this fall and Shakespeare ... of course with this comes the curiousity of what will Captain do. It's hard for me to believe that school, and Shakespeare, start in less than five weeks... yikes! Oh well, I'll just savour the summer while it lasts... which means an awesome beach party this Sunday night! Rock on!
